The publicly accessible gardens of the 18th century country estate Beeckestijn in Velsen-Zuid have a unique position in the Netherlands, because it is the only location where one can simultaneously view two historically different styles. An austere geometrically conceived part in the style of the French Baroque and, adjacent to it, the playful, more natural English national park. Well preserved and an oasis of peace and quiet in the busy Randstad area.
The gardens are always open to the public. The exhibition in the main building is open from Thursday to Sunday from eleven to four hours.
